Ministerial Portfolio Statement

The Ministerial Portfolio Statements are the primary source of information for the hearings of the Parlaimentary Estimates Committees. These hearings examine the funding provided in the State Budget to each Ministerial portfolio, and take place following the presentation of the Budget.

Strategic Plan 2001 - 2006

Code of Conduct

High standards of ethical and professional conduct are one of the key objectives of the PLA. The code of conduct is our key tool for directing staff in their ethical obligations.

Complaints About the Authority

The Guidelines for the Development of Policies and Procedures in Licensed Brothels have been provided by the PLA to assist licensees when developing policies and procedures. This guide includes those items required in the development of an operational plan and additional elements to assist in the development of more comprehensive operational policies and procedures.

Selling Sex in Queensland

Selling Sex in Queensland 2003 is the result of a comprehensive industry monitoring program and research effort. The report examines issues for sex workers, clients and community attitudes to prostitution.

Handbook for Approved Managers of Licensed Brothels

The Handbook for Approved Managers of Licensed Brothels has been developed by the PLA to assist approved managers in the conduct of their duties whilst employed at licensed brothels in QLD. The handbook provides general advice on issues relating to licensed brothel operation as well as providing practical advice on how particular tasks should be undertaken to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
