Our mission is to ensure that brothels are licensed and regulated in the community interest. The PLA is committed to: the principles of respect, integrity and impartiality promoting and improving safety and health in the sex industry and in the wider community preventing corruption and organised crime in licensed brothels ensuring that all its activities are based on the best information and research available to it. What's New Announcements Advertising Guidelines The PLA has released guidelines about the approved form for prostitution advertising, which will commence on 30th May 2008.  Further information is available in the advertising section of this website. Advertising Guidelines The sex worker interim project, WISI Info (Information for Workers in the Sex Industry) was due to conclude at the end of 2007, but has been extended until June 2008 to allow additional time for Queensland Health’s assessment of the needs of sex workers in Queensland. Please read the attached information to obtain further details regarding this service. WISI Info has been extended ( 21 KB).
