There are strict rules under the Prostitution Act 1999 (the Act) about:
- how brothels in Queensland operate
- who can be licensed to operate a brothel
- who can be certified to manage a brothel.
To operate a brothel in Queensland you must have a brothel licence.
To manage a brothel in Queensland you must have a manager’s certificate.
